New Technologies for the 2022 Grand Cherokee
Arguably the most significant update for the 2022 Grand Cherokee is its wide array of new technology features. The new Uconnect 5 infotainment software is standard across the whole lineup. This new system is displayed on a standard 8.4-inch touchscreen, while a 10.1-inch touchscreen comes on higher trim levels. The system’s home screen is entirely customizable, allowing you to configure it to be as convenient as possible. An impressive standard feature is the Amazon Alexa virtual assistant. This allows you to continue a list, play music, check the weather, and more. Additionally, the Alexa feature can sync with your in-home Alexa device to give you car-to-home functions like locking, unlocking, and starting. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity is also standard and doesn’t require a charging cord, allowing you to seamlessly integrate your smartphone with the in-car touchscreen without fumbling with a wire. Other features include five user memory settings, eight-device 4G LTE WiFi, and dual Bluetooth capabilities. Voice-activated TomTom navigation with live traffic updates is standard on higher trim levels. Jeep made the 2022 Grand Cherokee the most high-tech and well-connected one yet!
New Grand Cherokee Exterior Design
The Grand Cherokee’s redesign captures Jeep’s heritage while simultaneously keeping with the times. The fabled seven-slot grille was redesigned to be wider across the front fascia and is flanked by crisp LED headlights within narrow, rectangular housings. As a whole, the front fascia gives a commanding road presence. Meanwhile, the side profile creates an appealing contrast with an elegant A-line encompassing the sides and rear, creating a silhouette and a vintage Jeep look. The 2022 Grand Cherokee’s design is equal parts attractive and functional with vertical pillar spoilers, air curtains, active grille shutters, and a more aerodynamic roofline.
Interior Design of the 2022 Grand Cherokee
The modern yet classic design continues into the Grand Cherokee’s cabin with carefully crafted arrangements and modern technologies. Jeep realigned the dash panel for the new Grand Cherokee to have a more elegant appearance while being more intuitive for the occupants. The center stack flows beautifully from top to bottom with a newly standard 8.4-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen underneath redesigned slim HVAC vents and above reconfigured dual-zone climate controls. The center console features a closing storage bin under the climate controls in front of a rotary gear shift knob. Grand Cherokee 4x4 variants have the Selec-Terrain switch to the left of the rotary dial. Meanwhile, if the Grand Cherokee is equipped with Quadra-Lift air suspension, the ride height switch is on the right. Everything inside the new Grand Cherokee flows together beautifully with perfect symmetry and elegance.
