What is the Jeep Badge of Honor Program?
In 2013, Jeep created the Badge of Honor program in recognition of some of the country's most famous off-road trails. For example, the Rubicon Trail, nestled high in Northern California's Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, is hailed as one of the toughest off-road trails and is a Jeep Badge of Honor trail. Other examples include Hell's Revenge in Moab, Utah, Fern Ridge in Pennsylvania, and Jericho Mountain in New Hampshire. In fact, there are a total of 68 Jeep Badge of Honor Trails across the country in 25 different states. Jeep Badge of Honor trails are marked by different colors, noting their level of difficulty. Green is the easiest, blue is more difficult, black is the most difficult, and red is extreme.
Jeep Badge of Honor App
Jeep created the Badge of Honor app to help enhance off-roaders' experience and connect them with other enthusiasts. The Badge of Honor app gives you a detailed look at all 68 trails, including difficulty, maps, trail highlights, and more. Additionally, using the app, you can check into a trail when you visit and are about to start the trail. Upon completion, you'll earn points and a higher achievement ranking along with a digital badge. However, you will also receive a 'hard badge' in the mail, which can be displayed on your Jeep. You can also earn points by sharing photos of your Badge of Honor adventures and interacting with other members. The Jeep Badge of Honor App is available in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
What is Jeep Adventure Guide?
The new 2024 Jeep Gladiator and Wrangler models are equipped with a 12.3-inch Uconnect 5 Nav infotainment touchscreen. These models exclusively come with Jeep Adventure Guides, an off-roading adventure guide powered by Trails Offroad. All new Wrangler and Gladiator models come with a free two-year trial subscription to Jeep Adventure Guides. This gives drivers access to comprehensive information about all Badge of Honor trails. Information includes a difficulty rating based on 14 inputs, overall trail ratings by Trails Offroad experts who have driven the trail, route descriptions, and key waypoints for obstacles, turns, and points of interest. To get more from this feature, you can upgrade to a premium subscription, which unlocks all the information Trails Offroad has on more than 3,000 trails across North America.
