Crystal clear displays
As was mentioned above, the Grand Wagoneer has up to 75 inches of available touchscreens. Starting behind the steering wheel, you'll find a frameless customizable 12.3-inch digital driver information cluster. This has five reconfigurable tiles to display things like turn-by-turn navigation, vehicle speed, traffic sign recognition, adaptive cruise control, blindspot monitoring, and more. A 12-inch touchscreen occupies the center stack with infotainment from Uconnect 5, which operates five times faster than the current generation of Uconnect software. Below is a 10.25-inch articulating touchscreen controlling the four-zone HVAC system and seat position, temperature, and massagers. The available 10.25-inch passenger touchscreen has co-pilot functions like navigation and entertainment control and access to the vehicle's cameras. Rear seat passengers get their own 10.25-fixed climate control touchscreen on the center console between the second-row seats. The available 10.1-inch seatback entertainment screens display hundreds of thousands of shows, games, movies, and apps from Amazon Fire TV.
What is Uconnect 5?
The 2022 Grand Wagoneer is quite possibly the most well-connected and entertaining luxury car on the market. Uconnect 5 operates at five times the speed of Uconnect 4. The first wonderful feature is the wireless smartphone integration. This allows you to seamlessly access your favorite smartphone apps through the Uconnect touchscreen without plugging in your phone, leaving the cabin uncluttered. Amazon Alexa virtual assistant is also standard with home-to-car functions. This allows you to control your vehicle from your in-home Alexa device remotely. For example, if you can't remember if you locked your car, you can say, 'Alexa, lock my Grand Wagoneer,' and the doors will lock. Alexa also allows you to continue a list, check the weather, and access all the features of your in-home device. In addition, the advanced TomTom navigation software provides live traffic updates and the fastest route options. Uconnect 5 also has five user profiles plus valet mode. Each driver can set the system to memorize things like driver information display settings, climate control settings, seat and mirror position, music preferences, and more. Valet mode defaults all settings and disables the infotainment touchscreen, denying unfamiliar drivers access to personal information. Other standard features include voice recognition, Bluetooth connectivity for two enabled devices, and 4G LTE WiFi for up to eight devices.
