So let’s take a closer look at the three engine options available for the 2022 Durango! Kicking off the engine lineup is the standard 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine. This supplies drivers with 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque and can haul up to 6,200 pounds. The 5.7L V8 is optional for the SXT, GT, and GT Plus trim levels while standard on the R/T trim. The V8 engine pumps out 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque, pulling up to 8,700 pounds. But the Durango wouldn’t be a Dodge if there wasn’t a more sinister option. The SRT 392 trim level comes standard with a 392-cubic inch 6.4L V8 that pushes out 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, ripping from 0-60 in just 4.7 seconds! An 8-speed automatic transmission drives the rear wheels of the Durango. However, all-wheel drive is optional for all trim levels, except for the Durango, where AWD comes standard.
