What engine options are available for the Ram 1500?
There are several engine options available for the Ram 1500, and each one is mighty. Standard on most trims is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that kicks out a wonderful 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes with an eTorque system, improving the fuel economy and the engine stop=start capability. All trims have the option of a 5.7-liter V8 that has 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque. Looking for some diesel power? The Ram 1500 has you covered with a turbocharged and diesel-powered 3.0-liter V6 that has 260 horsepower and an astounding 480 lb-ft of torque. This year, new to the Ram lineup is the TRX trim, which has even more impressive power with a turbocharged 6.2-liter V8 that rips out 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. All of these wonderful engines pair with an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel-drive, though there is a four-wheel-drive option.
What are some of the Ram 1500's features?
There are seven available trims for Ram 1500, and each has an exorbitant number of features. The base Tradesman trim is starting things off, bringing 18-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, trailer sway damping, and a 5-inch touchscreen with a six-speaker stereo. The Big Horn adds to this with an 8.4-inch or 12-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Off-road enthusiasts are sure to love the Rebel trim, which brings hill descent control, four underbody skid plates, an electronic locking rear axle, upgraded shocks, and all-terrain tires. The Laramie and Longhorn trims are dedicated to luxury.
