What is the engine for the Compass?
All trims of the Jeep Compass come with a tried-and-true 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel-drive is the default setup, but you do have the option of all-wheel-drive if you choose. On the Trailhawk, all-wheel-drive comes standard so that you can traverse those off-road trails with confidence. As for the transmission, if you have a Compass with front-wheel-drive, it will come with a six-speed automatic, while all-wheel-drive versions get a nine-speed automatic. Both transmissions provide you with a smooth ride.
