Ford powers the Bronco with only two engines, and a diesel engine is not an option for this SUV. The Bronco’s standard engine is a 2.3-liter turbo inline-4 that generates 310 pound-feet of torque and 270 horsepower. Drivers can also power the Bronco with the available 2.7-liter twin-turbocharged inline-4 that creates 410 pound-feet of torque and 310 horsepower. The transmission options include a manual seven-speed and an automatic 10-speed. There are also only two transfer cases offered for the Bronco, again fewer options than the Wrangler.

Jeep offers the Wrangler in three main trim levels, a host of sub-trims and special editions, and two body styles. The base model is named the Sport and it comes loaded with standard features including cruise control, removable doors, a fold-down windshield, tow hooks, convertible roof options, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat. The Sport also comes packed with tech features like a USB port, an 8-speaker sound system, 5-inch touchscreen, Jeep’s Uconnect infotainment system, a rearview camera, and Bluetooth. There are a total of seven Bronco trim levels, but when it comes to features, they are all pretty bare. The base model is outfitted with an 8-inch touchscreen, daytime running lights, a center floor console, removable doors, and carpet flooring that will get gross quickly with serious off-roading. The other trims add unique graphic options, remote engine start, aluminum wheels, remote engine start, multiple grille options, skid plates, and a premium sound system. In the end, if you want more features in the Bronco, you are going to need to opt for one or more of the expensive packages offered.
