If you're looking for an SUV that doesn't skimp out on power, then you have come to the right place! The Durango has several powerful engines available and starts off its lineup with a standard 3.6-liter V6 that makes an impressive 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The engine allows the Durango to haul up to 6,200 pounds. Up next is the first of several V8's. The first is a 5.7-liter V8 that kicks out 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque and is standard on the Citadel and the R/T. If you choose the Citadel, it will haul up to 7,400 pounds, while the R/T can pull 8,400-pounds thanks to the Tow n Go package. Want to take things a step further? The SRT trim has a 6.4-liter V8 that makes 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. This can be expanded upon with the SRT Hellcat as it ends the engine lineup with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that delivers a track blazing 710 horses and 645 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel-drive comes standard on the SRT and is available for all other trims.
What are the tech and interior features of the Durango?
Once again, the Dodge Durango is filled with a ton of innovative tech for the 2021 model year. The cabin greets you with a 10.1-inch touchscreen that combines nicely with the new Uconnect 5 that delivers your favorite apps up to five times faster than the previous version. It allows you to connect two phones with Bluetooth and allows multiple passengers to perform the DJ functions. You get even more integration via Amazon Alexa, and there is even wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto at higher trim levels. The cabin also has a comfortable and plush interior with leather and chrome accents, and you get plenty of room for passengers and all of their stuff.
Can you tell me about the SRT Hellcat?
Absolutely! The SRT Hellcat is going to raise eyebrows no matter where it goes, thanks to its 710 horsepower V8 engine, and Dodge has upgraded the Durango to handle the additional power load. Dodge has also upgraded the suspension system for the SRT Hellcat to handle the body roll better. Meanwhile, the understeer of the SUV has been reduced, making the Durango the perfect track vehicle. A new front fascia features a chin splitter and a rear spoiler that has been completely redesigned. This creates additional downforce to keep the wheels connected with the pavement while you accelerate. The SRT Hellcat even comes with some plush materials with a suede and carbon-look trim.
