2020 Gladiator Mojave Revealed

All new trim model announced for the off-road truck, the 2020 Gladiator Mojave!

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator pushes the expectations of where a pickup truck should be able to work and further pushing the standards of excellence in performance. Even with the outstanding achievements in performance and off-road capability the 2020 Gladiator has earned, Jeep hasn’t slowed down in further enhancing this off-road conquerer. In an exciting announcement, Jeep has confirmed the addition of the Mojave trim to the Gladiator’s line-up of models. The Mojave takes the off-road capability found with the Gladiator and specializes it for desert and sand environments while still offering a smooth on-road experience with high-performance benchmarks.

Tested High-End Performance Standards

The Gladiator has established itself as one of the hardest working mid-size pickups in the modern market. One of the core aspects of the Gladiator that makes these ratings possible is the tried-and-true 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine, that pushes out 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. This engine also works in engine stop-start functionality that works with the automatic transmission brought in to further enhance the fuel economy of this effective engine. The Mojave trim especially provides solid performance, being capable of carrying a payload of up to 1,200 lbs and 6,000 lbs of trailer capacity.

Top-Rated Off-Road Performance in Desert and Sand Terrain

While off the paved pathway, the Gladiator is unmatched in terms of its capability to tackle the toughest terrains. With the Mojave trim model, Jeep works in tuned systems to further enhance the durability and performance in desert and sand settings. FOX 2.5-inch internal bypass shocks are equipped, giving advanced fluid regulation to provide a smooth force attenuation as the suspension activates. Jeep works in an advanced Command-Trac 4x4 system with the Mojave trim model, which provides enhanced power distribution between the wheels for improved low-range operating speeds while in desert environments. With these tuned systems, the 2020 Gladiator Mojave boasts numerous best-in-class performance ratings, including an approach angle of 44.7-degrees, breakover angle of 20.9-degrees, departure angle of 25.5-degrees, and an impressive 11.6-inches of ground clearance.

What are some other key features that enhance the riding experience?

Outside of the specialized modifications to the powertrain systems, the Mojave trim model includes a set of features that is very similar to that of the Gladiator Rubicon model. The chassis is outfitted with the classic circular Jeep headlamps with supporting fog lamps that transition into the solid full-metal doors and 5-ft solid steel box that includes a 3-position tailgate and an optional spray-in bedliner. Inside the Gladiator Mojave, the truck is packed with features such as dual-zone automatic temperature control, ambient LED lights, premium cloth upholstery, a handy 115-volt power outlet that can power smaller appliances, and more! The Gladiator also comes with a convenient and easy to use Uconnect infotainment system, that works off of a 7-inch touchscreen display and comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.
